Get someone in that can cut a fine line and ask him to do the job, it takes experience.

The new piece has to be laid over the old on the line you want cut, then cut both pieces together, they should then match.

It all depends on what kind of damage it is, how extensive, and where it is, we really need more details to address this question properly. if it is a cut, glue it to the floor pushing the 2 sides together so that you can not see the cut, if it is more than a small cut there are many options but I really don't feel like going through every possible scenario so if that doesn't help add more details and I will edit my answer.
