There should be a little slot on the back (not the button) side of the fob. Press a screwdriver blade in there and twist gently. The key should start to come away from the fob. Remove it and then split the back of the fob off. Change battery quickly (CR 2032 probably) Reassemble. Test. If the remote doesn't work open the car with the key, switch the ignition on and immediately press the button (either) and hold it till the door locks fire.

Ive not got a corsa, but my key fob leavers apart along its centre and the battery is there to change easily. Need a screw driver to open uip the key fob.

If you are stuck try going to Halfords or simular car shop, and look in a Haynes manual there - or talk to the bloke on the parts counter and ask. The bloke will also point you in the direction of the right battery too - and for no charge either.

When the battery went in my central locking 'thingy' I have to admit to being a helpless female in distress and using the services of my local car parts retailer. He had no trouble at all! Maybe its a man thing!
