his name is not really said in the shows, but the creators and voice actors actually have a few names for him. They are "Inuyasha no Chichi" which means Inuyasha's father. Another name is "Inu-no-taisho" which means Dog-Leader. I believe that his true name is the one meaning dog leader (Inu-no-taisho)

tetsusaiga is the name of inuyasha's sword. his father's name is Inutaisho (mother's name is Izayoi:)
