Do not wear bright colors, low cut shirts, sleeveless shirts, short skirts, or open/casual shoes (no peep toe, flip flop, sneakers).
Don't skip taking a shower that week.
Don't have messy hair or a messy "bun/do".
Don't wear perfume.
Don't wear huge distracting jewelry.
Don't have name brands plastered across your clothing.
Don't have stupid shirts on (<----I'm with stupid).
If you don't know something or don't understand it, don't pretend like you do.
Make sure to participate in the interview and ask questions. Show a genuine interest.
Don't go in there knowing NOTHING about the school and it's history. If you know what you would like to major in or are interested, make sure you have some things to talk about.
Good luck and rock on!!
Cover the tattoo too. Just wear long sleeves or a bracelet. No questions. Just do it!

Avoid wearing clothing with the name of a competitor university printed on it! Seriously, avoid anything which might be a major distraction. Don't wear jewelry which clinks (or too much jewelry) or anything too short, too tight, or too revealing. I would avoid wearing anything with anything written on it, other than a subtle brand name. No politics, religion, or controversial social issues. It isn't that you can't have an opinion in these interviews, but if you say something and get a look of disapproval from the interviewer, you can change the subject. If you are wearing it, it is hard to hide! I've done a lot of these interviews, and I can't remember clothing ever being an issue (it wouldn't be for me, but usually I'm doing the interviewing with someone else, mostly an older man). Some potential students have been very casual, while others have clearly tried to dress up. The advantage to dressing fairly well is that it looks like you really cared. The downside is that if it makes you uncomfortable, you may blow the interview itself, which is what really counts.

Don't bite your fingernails (or out your fingers anywhere near your face). Make sure you give a good firm handshake with dry hands (no slipping the admissions officer the fish). Make plenty of eye-contact with the admissions officer. Don't cross your arms in front of you, maintain a relaxed but confident posture by sitting straight in your chair and keeping your hands to the sides or folded in your lap. Answer all the questions, even if they are rude or stupid (like...why did you decide to wear that shirt? Yes, I've heard of this happening). No snarkiness, no matter what, but you don't want to be steam-rolled either, so feel free to answer stupid or rude questions in an amusing (but not irritated way). For example, if I were to be asked why I was wearing the shirt I was wearing, I might reply that I thought it made my eyes look good. Don't let them freeze you.

Don't wear anything that draws too much attention. Something that they might compliment, but forget about when you leave. Don't wear anything your parents would not approve of. Wear somethin you would wear on the high school yearbook pictures.
