Well, Alpha radiation is emitted from unstable atoms, such as Americium, or Uranium. When Alpha radiation breaks of from a Uranium atom, it is composed of 2 protons and 2 neutrons, so, the element with an atomic number of 2 and a mass no. of 4, is Helium, (He).
