Tut Tut.. you should be thank-full with whatever you have.
P.S. doctors can never say they're 100% unless a amnio test is done but they are more often right than not

While scans are a wonderful thing to have they can never be 100% sure. It also depends on how far along you are, I imagine since it's your second scan you're around 4 and a half to 5 months along? I can understand you wanting a baby boy but if I might ad,..please feel blessed to have the opportunity to bring a precious little life into this world and just pray it is healthy. That is what's truly important. :)

It's unusual for hospitals to tell the sex of child beofre birth now since there's been so many wrong in the past and folk getting stroppy about it. Even if you plead to know a lot of doctors just won't tell. However, by the second scan things should be pretty well clear as to the sex of the child, assuming a good view is available!
Please don't get so hung up on wanting a boy. We get what we're given and nothing should matter more than the health of the baby.

yes they are right
they can see more with scans these days more than ever before
years ago when they tried to determin the sex of a baby via a scan many results were wrong
and mums were buying clothes for a boy when they were carrying a girl
but this is not so now
when i had my second cscan i asked what i was having
i was told a girl also and yes i did have a wonderful baby girl
at least you can look at girls names before she's born
good luck
and don't worry if you wanted a boy theres always next time

I seriously think you need to be more grateful for the baby you have. Many people can't have children and would give everything for a child of their own, whatever the sex. You can't pick and choose what sex you want your baby to be.
Scans though are never 100%, but are right 19 out of 20 times according to the letter I was sent when my scan was arranged at my local hospital.

I don't want to be horrible to you but how can you say you'd prefer a boy? does it really matter what sex as long as he/she is healthy? I hope you won't be unhappy if you give birth to a girl, i thought iwas having a boy and i had a girl, you know what she is so beautiful and full of personality, and its great because she's my little sweetheart and my hubby's Daddys girl. If we ever have a boy he'll be loved as much but if we have another girl i'd also be elated.
You can't pick and choose, let nature do its job and you do the most important thing, look after your baby no matter what.

they're right 99% of the time. does it matter what you have? as long as they're healthy thats all you should be worried about. a girl is going to grow up to be your best friend! a boy would just grow to protect you. nice as that may be, nothing can replace the love a baby girl will bring.
be happy you have a child full stop. your sitting there "oh no, im having a girl? oh i wanted a boy" when there are MILLIONS of people world wide wishing they were in your shoes and not caring what they had, boy or girl! THEY know as long as its happy n healthy it does not matter. do u want a boy or does you husband want a boy?

I too wanted a boy and I will admit I was a little upset when they said girl. I wondered the same thing if maybe they could be wrong. For me it was right and I would not trade my little girl for the world. No, they are never 100% acurate, but most of the time they are right. Start picking out the pink.

They can never predict with 100% accuracy but if they are experienced sonographers and said with near certainty that it is a girl, then they are probably right. Don't be dissappointed, girls are wonderful!! And each baby is a blessing regardless of sex. The are right more often then they are wrong.

they aren't 100% right, i know of one friend who was told it was a boy; painted everything blue etc and then got a baby girl.
Ask for another scan if you want another opinion but the scan won't change the sex of the baby you are carrying.
