A lot of people are going to say time... which eventually is true. But in order to mend a broken heart you have to be willing to let go of the person who is holding the two pieces apart. You don't have to forget the memories, you don't have to regret anything done, but you have to move on from the person.
This person obviously wasn't meant for you or else you would be together, so don't waste too much time wallowing in your sorrow over them, It will get you no where and will only take you longer to find the person you are meant to be with. Its not going to be easy, but trust me, it will be worth it in the end when your heart finally heals and you are filled with even more love than before.

Heartbrake is no easy thing to get over. Depends how badly you have been hurt and for how long. If your heartbrake is just another injury in a long list of heartbrakes you are going to need specialist help.

Make a time in your day to grieve and be upset, the rest of the day try to be one of us in the land of the living. Make sure you do go and see your friends and socialise a little. If you haven't got over it in 6months to a year - get serious help. I personally know what heartbrake is all about and the main thing you need to do is stop yourself getting suicidal over it.

Believe me there is nothing in life which is worth ending your own for - nothing at all. Wouldnt you hate it if you died and later found out in the afterlife that you were about to win lotto. That's what it is like, your life is precious, try to make it something you can enjoy no matter what happens.

I wish your pain to go away and your suffering to be minimal.. with blessings and best wishes from Dorcas.

You wanna learn how to mend a heart?
It's a very easy thing to do.
Just sit on down and I'll give you the scoop...
What's that? It's called the loop-de-loop.
You put your laces in each hand,
go under and over again, take your loop-de-loop and pull,
and your heart is looking cool.
You go over and back, left to right, loop-de-loop and hold 'em tight.
Like the bunny ears or a Christmas bow, lace 'em up and you're ready to go!
Take your loop-de-loop and pull, and your heart are lookin' cool.

Al Green has been asking the same question! I would say the easiest and cheapest way is day by day. Time heals all!

yes it's possible if the person is not you're first love. i'm pretty sure i'm still in love with the first guy i ever loved. i can't get rid of him, no matter how dumb he is or how weird he looks or how much he changes, they will always haunt your mind. but in your case it would be that certain girl that haunts your mind.
