A neutral view is offered by the MASH song, suicide is painless, it brings on many changes. However, this is just a movie and it's far more complex in real life.

I understand the dispair that many people feel often due to medical conditions or other chronic problems. However, the consequences of suicide on others can be devastating. If someone is suicidal, it's time to get to the root cause and address those problems effectively.

Many people suffer chemical imbalances or temporary medical problems that can lead to suicidal thoughts. A psychiatrist can help in the short-term. If the problem is not chemical, but related to real emotional life problems, therapy can be the long-term solution. Sometimes, undiagnosed medical conditions are the real culprit (even sleep apnea). Look everywhere for the cause.

Prevention is better than waiting for a problem and then applying a cure. As always, its also good to get lots of exercise, eat right, and get enough sleep. Seek out a good friend or therapist when you need help. And try to build a meaningful community for everyone's support.

Ever case is unique. I am reminded of the artist that lost his ability to move and asked for and was granted the right to leave these earthly bonds.

Intractable pain can drive a person to ask the ultimate question, "why am I still here?"

There are those who have never been happy, never known the freedom of love, haven't made a successful search for what life is about, and end up in the lonely embittered process of slow death
society calls alcoholism. Drugs, legal or the other kind enter with the seeker into a kind of pseudo search for God, though they may not identify it as such. They straddle life and death, and can't decide which bitter taste they desire.
If you were God how would it feel to you that the creation you love over all other creatures in the world has chosen to snuff out that life? And what if they had not reached out to you
so that love and compassion could save a tortured and lonely soul?
I lost my best friend to suicide. And I have gone to many funerals--too many as it turned out. After a time I could not deal with more suicide, I knew all the undertakers and I had to change careers.
The closer I got to the Spiritual Center, the less suicide seemed a viable option for me. As one who was pronounced dead and came back I now fight against this very unnatural aberration that causes
so much pain for so many. It is the antithesis of life and winning over it is the triumph of life over death,
and in life there is love, the pain and courage of childbirth, the joy in a new mothers face, and the steadfastness of faith and the grace that follows.

People who suicide go to hell , cus they killed someone "even if it's their own body" !!!
No matter how depressed you are, there is always a solution!
and I think that most people who commit suicide lack a strong belief in God !

facts about suicide:
Frequency:

In the US: An estimated 5-20% of the US population will experience depression at some time. Suicide accounted for 31,655 deaths in the US in 2002, or approximately 11 cases per 100,000 population.

Internationally: In Eastern Europe, 10 countries report more than 27 suicides per 100,000 persons. Latin America and Muslim countries report the lowest rates, fewer than 6.5 cases per 100,000.

Just thinking about other persons who are suffering from more serious and complicated problems than his (who thinks about suicide), are still surviving and living their lives bravely.

Any problem in our lives can either be solved, or it will pass and a part of memories, while our lives will continue.

If a person who commited suicide comes to life again, he would deeply regret ending his life when he knows that he ends his life for some reasons that doesn't worth his life.

it's just the most worthless thing someone can do and it totally doesn't even make sense. there are so many positive alternatives. life is a game that is meant to be hard so that when you find your way, it belongs to you. suicide is the most selfish act a person could do. listen to yes's 90125 album. it might have saved my life when i was younger.

I think it is wrong. You are basically telling God that the life He gave you is a lousy gift and...Oh, by the way ...here take the damned thing back, because I don't like what you gave me.
It is the final act of a coward.
