I love my husband's name. William Alexander. People calle him William or Will, but Alexander is also very nice. Both are names that are beautiful both for a boy and for a grown up man. William means "the one who protects" and I like the sound of that too, being his wife and the father of the babies we'll have. It makes me feel safe.
I am not italian, but I also like Luca (Luke) and Marco. I think you need to look for a name that suits your baby's surnames too. And his looks, although he is very small. Sometimes you will see.... oh! yes, the name Luca really suits him, or no.... I really can't see him with this name.
Good luck and congratulations.

I took two weeks to name my son before hand we got down to Keiron or Reece. He just looked more a Reece than Kieron and now it really suits him! Only problem we didn't think through the initials it was R I M (Ian after a friend that died while we were expecting)
My daughter was harder we had Ruby, Eloise, Corrina and Kristen. We knew Margaret Ann would be her middle names after his mum and my nan. In the end she just looked like a Eloise.
Did you and your partner draw up a short list of names? When you think of names remember they child will have to go school where it will get shortened (Peter becomes Pete etc..) And people do make assumptions on a name ie Pascal might be assumed to be effeminate. Unfair but it has been proved I'm afraid!

Congratulations on the birth of your baby son. If i was expecting a boy we would have called him either Charlie, George or Dylan. I also like Aidan, Freddie, Frankie, Harry, Henry, Joshua, Jack, Jake, Jamie, Kieran, Michael, Matthew, Nathan, Ryan, Shane, Thomas, William, Oliver. Good luck with the baby.

First up, congratulations on your beautiful baby!
Boys names are really hard. We had our first baby, a boy, nine weeks ago and although we had a name when he was born, it took us ages to agree on it. We finally settled on Timothy as the only one we could both live with. Apparently it's not been used much recently in the UK so could be an option as he won't be one of many in his class at school!

When i was pregnant everyone thought i was having a boy but I knew iwas having a girl and i picked Erin, as soon as she was born i knew the name was definatley for her. Heres some suggestions anyway.

Congratulations - a baby son is a true blessing! My son is called Bruce. It is uncommon but not 'out there weird', it can't be shortened and is cute for a baby, suitable for a teen and mature enough for him when he's a grown man. He is 11 and has never been teased due to his name and thinks it's cool that he shares his name with batman and the hulk! lol
