voice. Any similiar singers like him...I think Captain Beefheart is one but what about currently?

Paul Banks from Interpol has a pretty unique voice. And of course Billy Corgan and Steven Tyler in my opinion are very distinguishable from other singers.

I would have to say Layne Staley from Alice in chains. he has one of the most unique voices I've ever heard. Also Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam is another good one.
