It seems like every day there is a news story on a different celebrity getting charged with multiple charges, yet either the charges are released or the celebrity receives such a low punishment as to give the appearance of special treatment.

What gives?

Its the same old stuff

one rule for the rich and a different set of rules for the poor

remember the golden rule

they who haveth the gold maketh the rules

and the rest of us dont seem to matter

Because money talks, s**t walks. They are famous and rich, they can buy anything and anyone they want. So, if they get in trouble, they flash the green and no one knows anything.

Who cares? A celebrity doesn't have to deal with how much money I have in the bank or how the economy is doing...I could care less what happens to them...unless of course I need to read something in the bathroom!

Two things.
1. Our legal system sucks
2. With big pockets, come big lawyers....which leads us back to #1.
