I have Fedora Core 6, Ubuntu and Ark Linux and a few Windows OSs. Which is better at web browsing and gaming? I love Linux but its a pain in the *** to get a dialup modem installed and to find games and programs for it. I cant get high speed internet where I live at dammit!!!!

Ive been using both since they were born. Personally, I consider Linux the best for running a server (I run 2 internet servers using linux). Windows is the best for desktop (my personal machines are all windows). And by the way, I consider Mac the best for LapTops.
As for gaming, I host multiplayer games on my linux servers. And I play them from my windows machine.

Linux is the best if you have the time to fiddle around with it. Otherwise stay with windows. It's expensive, it has a lot of limitations, but hey, we already know how it works!

If you know what you are doing with Linux it is 100times better then windows, at everything. But if you have very little understanding of computers then just go for windows, it has many idiot proof devices for you.

windows xp pro is great for gaming. you need a good computer, its not all in the software. you need RAM, Space and power =]
Linux is good for other stuff... not for gamers
