Ok, what Mike Vick did was pretty bad. Dog fighting isn't cool especially if the animals get hurt and die from their injuries or from being killed by people. But for crying out loud we Americas are so caught up with the wrong sh!t it sickens me. It makes me sick when we STAND UP & FIGHT for a dog & do nothing about domestic violence, child cruelty, homelessness, the lack of attention to children at Dept of Children’s Services, Child Prostitution, New Orleans not being built back, minimum wage at the ridiculous rate, ABORTIONS/people killing babies? HELLO? I say 4Q to all the people protesting and hating on Vick. I see so many comments about how people mad about his endorsements and they WANT THEM PULLED & FOR HIM TO NEVER PLAY AGAIN. WOW, Unforgiving Christian Americans! Only u should be forgiven for wrongs right? Dick Cheney almost killed a man, TRYING TO KILL an ANIMAL! But it was all cool? Nobody protested that! So please, let us support better causes B4 we Hang VicK over a dog!

Man I have been getting ripped for feeling just like you feel bro. Yes what Vick did was wrong but everyone has been acting like he should damnn near get the death penalty. I mean this isnt the first case of animal abuse nor is it the first time a person has resisted owning up to doing wrong but hearing how they have no mercy for vick or he should never play in the nfl again is rediculous. I mean animals are creatures but Vick is a human being for heavens sakes. I think the biggest thing thats most irritating to me is how america has legalized killing babies (and it is killing) but everyone is ready to persecute Vick for killing dogs. How confusing is that. Regardless of knowing its wrong, bottom line is killing is killing in Gods eyes no matter the intent. If we want to act like we care so much, be persistent in everything thats going on in the world and let your voices be heard about things we dont hear or see on national t.v.! I agree with you completely bro.

Dear J. Dub,

i think a lot of people are sill hating on Vick because he doesn't seem to be owning up to what he was doing.

First he admitted said he knew nothing - and even now with all the evidence stacked against him- he's only admitting to being invovled in the commerce portion- but not admitting to any of the things that are documented with the execution of dogs.

i agree with you that there are other issues socially that are worse than what Mike Vick did - and actually i hope after his prison sentence that he does turn his life around- and gets a second chance in the NFL (it'd likely be not as a QB).

But in answering your question- i think people don't like the fact that they are being deceived and it seems like Mike is still not taking ownership for what he's done. He hasn't openly admitted any wrongdoing- and i think that's what has people upset.

Anyhow just offering my two cents.

Kindly,

Nickster

Personally I would rather see him on the field, but we have laws in society and if you break them you are screwed. I don't know Mick Vick and I can't see why anyone would want to watch dogs fight until their death. This is something he needs to think about while he is in jail. He needs to ask himself why he likes to participate in this type of thing? He needs to ask himself if participating in dog fighting is what a person of good moral character should be doing? I think if he digs deep down he will no he is at fault. As far as the punishment, I am unsure like every one else of the final charges, but in my opinion the sentence is usually a little to stiff, but I am a pretty liberal person.

i agree with you that there are more urgent things to take care of in this country. the problem is though, the man broke the law and so many people came out in support of him. forget peta. they are nut jobs. just ignore them. vick fans should not be shouting from every tall building that the man is innocent and that it is a conspiracy. it has snowballed and become more than it should have ever become. i think we should all stop talking about it. he has admitted to what he has done, so lets move on. this goes for his supporters and his enemies. so many times in all this i have heard that the feds only went after him because his is black and famous. they went after him because he bankrolled an illegal operation. i hope he gets things straightened out while he is in jail and i hope he gets an opportunity to play again.

...please, try to understand "we" can't justify one type of bad behavior for another... Mr. Vick knew that what he was doing was wrong and against the Law... Initially, he lied about it... when he was forced to confront his lies and actions; he now wants sympathy... (that "might" have been available to him "if" he had told the truth)... Society has no use for liars and abusers (be it humans or animals)... Mr. Vick made his choices... now he must face the consequences.
With all due respect for your statements and "question"... I have no sympathy for Mr. Vick.

Other people have done bad things, so Vick shouldn't be picked on for also doing bad things?

Ever heard the expression "two wrongs don't make a right"?

Its against the law what he did. Its a proven fact that people who abuse animals later abuse, rape, or kill in the future.
Its a very serious crime what he did.

Alot of people hate him because their humane, have morals, and love animals. Only a coward abuses an animal, hes a coward.
