Heff, you have to drag it out like John Sterling does. Try it.

Um, stop posturing for a minute. Do you honestly think that a playoff starting rotation of Pettite, Clemens, Wang and Hughes, with Farnsworth, Chamberlain and Rivera as primary relievers could get past Lackey, Escobar, Weaver and the unsung but incredibly clutch Joe Saunders, with Speyer, Mosely and the ever reliable Frankie Rodriguez to close? Even if that somehow happens--and you know that the Angels have owned the Yankees this Millenium, the Red Sox have better pitching than the Yankees. No, the ALCS this year will be played by two teams the Yankees hate that wear red. Not sorry.

Hey Matt,
MVP- A Rod- without a doubt right now.
If the Yankees can make it to the playoffs. Right now with Mussina's struggles- your starting pitching is hurting and the bullpen is not all that solid either.
You are with in striking distance but they have to get some consistent pitching... they have enough games with playoff contenders down the stretch to gain enough ground.
i'm a Dodger fan- but i root for the Yankees in the AL because i hate the Angels and Boston.

A-Rod will not get MVP...your mind is clouded by his one extremely great month....Magglio has been above avg. all year...you take Magglio off the team right now and the Tigers aren't in the hunt while you take A-Rod off the team right now and they probably have the same record since the all-star break...I would be shocked if Magglio didn't get MVP....as for WS Champs...the Yankees don't have the pitching to make it deep in the playoffs...I still don't see them making the playoffs but if they do they are out in the first round...as much as Yankee fans want to think that their massive offense will make up for their lack of pitching it most likely won't happen....pitching is too important in September and October and great offenses have been shut down before.

Yeah right Magglio Ordonez MVP
WS Champs- who knows?
The Yankees will not be in the playoffs! With what pitching staff would they be even able to win a series if they do get in? But that doesnt' really need to be answered because their pitching isn't going to get them in the first place.

if A-Rod isn't the MVP there is a serious problem there.
the Yankees (as winners) will find a way to win down the stretch, they always have.

A-Rod. I heard the Yankees were far behind in the playoff race, and they came right back in.
