The wind beneath my wings.

I can fly, but even a small airplane is a clumsy thing. I am even more jealous of the birds than I was before. What would I miss ? Being in the sky and among the clouds, the view to the horizon, the smallness and insignificance of the human diorama beneath me, the continual reminders that we did not evolve senses that can be trusted in rapid three-dimensional movement.

I would miss flying of course. However, if I were an Angel in Heaven and lost my wings then I'd probably fall to earth and learn to walk.

I would miss being able to put on a T-shirt with no holes on the back. Those wings can be become cumbersome, you know.

Nice question though. makes me think of what I would miss If I had what I want.

I would miss being able to swim to the bottom of the pool.Sounds like something silly I know but I feel quite peacful underneath the water as deep as I can go.It gives me a place to think and be undesturbed for a minute or so.It also gives me a place to quiet my thoughts if I choose to do so and forget the world.

Walking. Even though it would be easier and time-saving to go places, I would still miss the pleasure of long leisurely walks, drinking in the beauty of surroundings......especially in the mornings.
