mabie it wasn't broderick, i'm not sure; it sounded and looked like him but i can't find a matching movie anywhere.

from what i can remember, he was running away from the cops and gets on a bus which takes him to a 'proposed town' that doesn't actually exist and is in the middle of nowhere, and he finds an abandoned jeep with flame decals (which was abandoned by the bad guy) and goes to a hotel, which happens to be where the bad guy also was staying, then someone sees the jeep and reports it to the police and then broderick tries to get away with a towel over his head but then the other guy comes out with a gun and then broderick runs away and catches a frieght train where he ate tainted ham and i stopped watching there. i think it was on comedy central.

He runs from "cops" in Ladyhawke.. probably ate tainted meat in it as well.. but not from a train.. (medievil story).. Ran from cops in war games.. no tainted meat.. ran from military police in X project.. no tainted meat.. hmmm I'm coming up blank.. I'll keep looking.. Maybe you are thinking of the freshman?.. He is working for a mafia figurehead and is sent to get an endangered animal for them to cook at some fancy club.. not exactly a tainted meat deal, but I do believe that the animal was brought by train.. (not sure.. haven't seen it in ages..)

Are you thinking of John Cryer in Hiding Out? I checked the IMDB and I don't see anything for Matthew Broderick like that.
