ipod audiobook repeats one section over and over?

i put a book on my ipod and the first time i listened to it, it worked fine but when i went to pick up were i left off it repeated the beginning over and over no matter where i was on the timeline. funny thing is, i can skip anywhere on the timeline while in itunes but not on the ipod itself. any suggestions?

i would remove it and then put it back on there.
might be a corrupted file.
