italians??

could you tell if someone is italian by looking at em cuz some people say that they knew i was italian as soon as they saw me..what makes us look diff from other white people?

just so u kno i dont shave and im 17...so not all are hairy lol

Skin tone dark hair and eyes. Some have larger noses. A lot of hair

I'm half Italian but I do not believe there is a Dead giveaway by any means. Some people do "Look" Italain or fit into that Stigma. But there are Italains of many different types. Many Northern Itallians, for instance are Blond Haired and Blue eyed. From a Germanic Decent. Itays history shows that Peoples from many different cultures and locations have lived there over the centuries which leads me to believe that Itallians are really a blend of many different cultures, historically speaking and therefore "Looking Itallian" could mean that you look like someone from one of many different peoples.

some people do look Italian. My husband and I are both half french and half Italian and he looks it.

In general Italian's have olive skin, black hair, brown eyes and not too tall. Not every Italian looks like this, I have blue eyes, white skin and auburn hair.

When I am with my Mother's family (Italians) I don't look related they all have dark hair, skin, and eyes. The women are either too thin and tall or too thick and short.
My husbands family is the same way.

Well all Italians look different. But there is a certain way people think of Italians due to stereotypes. I am that stereotypical italian lol. When people think of italians they think of brown hair, tan, beautiful big brown eyes usally with amazing hints of green =) I don't know really what it is, we just have a different look =/

you can't really tell... obviously... i know alot of Italians actually from Italy and they all look different. most of them aren't even the stereotype. Typically it is dark hair and darker skin tone. Obviously that doesn't say much. People always think I am Italian and I have an Irish name and pale skin

If you mean Italian-Americans, they look like most white Americans to me. But, being an Italian myself, I can easily spot other Italians (from Italy) when I'm abroad. Probably it's the way we dress, or the way we wave our hands while talking :-).

For the rest of you, who say Italians are or aren't white: Italians, during history, mixed with a lot of other people, black and white (we are between Africa and Central Europe). So, basically, we are a melting pot. Generally, people from southern Italy are darker and shorter, while in the north, we almost look like Germans.

Yes people can tell if someone is Italian. Italian people are hot. We look better than most people that's why we look different.

Yes it is quite easy, I have lots of Italian neighbours, it's just something about the way you look.
Not anythinhg bad, can't you tell greeks or italians apart?

My daughter married an Italian. My grand baby looks Italian. They have a certain look, something like how Arabs look. The comedian Caliendo, I think his first name is Frank is a relative of my daughter's husband. He is the one that always imitated President Bush on the Saturday Night comedy. I think it was MAD. My grand baby has a head shape like him. I always tease my daughter about how the baby looks like him.

Be proud of your looks and don't worry about it. I think Italian women are beautiful.
