Depends what you mean by "volcano". I have seen little conical piles of mud in New Zealand hot springs area which spurted steam and mud now and then. They were maybe 2 inches high. Is that a volcano? Sure looks like one and behaves like one.

Of course! How do you think the BIG ones got that way??! Did you know there was once a farmer in Mexico- who had a volcano appear in his cornfield?! It just APPEARED one day- & the next thing he knew- it swallowed up his whole farm, his neighbor's, the town he lived in- & everything ELSE for miles around!!! So if you have a little volcano suddenly show up in your backyard...-I'd start looking for a new place to live, like- RIGHT AWAY. -They don't make good neighbors. :)

ya they dont have to be big, tall mountains. one volcano in mexico started in this guys corn field at just a few meters around and now its the tallest volcano in mexico
