For pbcruzr: Okay here's a
good one. Everyone over 65,
give your frank opinion of the
Medicare Part D (wonderful plan that now pays all of our
prescription costs. I'm being
sarcastic.)

It sucks! When Medicare D went into effect I was paying $300 a month for medicines. Now I'm paying $600 a month and that's not counting what I pay for the Part D plan each month. Somebody's making one Heqq of a profit off me. All I'm trying to do is stay alive.

It's a freaking joke for those of us who take expensive medicines with no generic equivalent. I take 6 medications, one of which is $6.71 PER TABLET!!!
I'd like to see Georgieporgie and all of the United States Congress try to live on $1300/mo AND pay out $450/mo in drug costs (averaged over 12 months and accounting for the donut hole and plan premium). Our elected "leaders" have zero clue about living on a very limited income.

My everyday meds are 700 per month. I dont have any coverage. If it pays anything at all its worth something. Right now Im using prescription assistance or I wouldnt have the medications I need to live.

What's with the last two months of the year you go without? Like let's clean out the books for the new year and get rid of some of the dead wood. Doughnut hole indeed, more like --- hole. Fortunately I have VA. Costs more per prescription, but I can still get my inhalers and don't have to hold my breath for two months.

I don't use it. I have Tricare For Life. My total co-pays are $40. And that is for a 3-month supply.

I JUST BOUGHT MY MEDS AND THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN ONE HUNDRED THIRTY SEVEN DOLLARS AND I ONLY PAID TWENTY SEVEN FOR A MONTHS SUPPLY.

I HAVE FOUND MED D A GREAT PLAN FOR ME.

IT HAS SAVED ME A FAIR AMOUNT OF MONEY...

FRANKLY, I WOULD HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO BOUGHT WHAT I NEEDED WITHOUT IT WIPING ME OUT FINANCIALLY ON MY SOCIAL SECURITY.

I AM ON TOPROL AND LIPITOR AMONG OTHER MEDS TAKEN PRN.

It stinks.

However, there are possibilities still unfound (being facetious).
