I'm not sure If that's the correct spelling but you put it in your hair when you put your curlers in?

Oh yeah I remember!!!! There was a 50's day in my school when I was in third grade and I asked my dad about what to use and he suggested Dippity Doo (which we did not have) Brill Cream (which we also didn't have) Or even Vaseline.
I couldn't find the Vaseline but I found the Vicks Vapo Rub which I proceeded to fill my hair with!!! My mom made me go to school like that anyways and my teacher sent me to the nurse (because my head was on FIRE!!!) I could hear the nurse laughing as she was washing my hair (she'd wash a bit then move her hands over my ears to suppress her laughter but I could feel her shaking she was laughing so hard!!!)
My family loves to bring that one up!!!

Yes, remember Dippity Do and going to bed with those hard plastic rollers with picks in them.
Was always so glad to remove them, first thing in the morning.
There was something before DIppity Do, that a foster parent dipped a comb into. It was a really stinky liquid in a jar. Was in the 6th grade and smelled like that stuff when I went to school every day (because my hair stood straight up in the air).

i guess i'm aging myself a bit but yes i remember dippity do. When iwas a teenager i washed my hair and put a little abit of that stuff in my hair as i put those awful brush curlers in there.

Yes, I do. I used THREE jars of the stuff in my hair trying to keep it in the style of Dracula's for one Holloween.

oh yes....used it all the time as I drank my fresca and listened to "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"...by the Beatles...lol! Did u ever drink that soda called Pomac??? This question reminded me of that....(by the way...it was yellow...like a beer)
