I'd rather have a laptop. Nowadays you can just d/l clips of TV shows and watch them whenever you want instead of only getting to see them when the cable programming megaconglomerates decide to schedule the shows you like. The internet is giving cable NO love these days...would cable TV let me check my email and look up Y! answers and view my bank account balances?! No way, laptop FTW.

I would rather have a laptop, because I can access more information with a laptop than I can with cable TV.

Laptop for sure. I mean u can do so much different things with a comp. U can even watch TV shows that u can see on cable.. on the laptop. U can make videos to watch and listen to music.. its just over all more convenient to have then just sitting and watching shows.
But thats just my opinion. I agree with you.

laptop is the only reasonable answer...
cable tv has really changed and i can never find shows that im interested in anymore. laptop offers most of the things that cable television could give you. so laptop, for sure.

Laptop, definately. I'm sure anything you can view on Cable TV is downloadable these days. And you can't forget about everything that's downloadable that isn't on Cable TV :P

I've actually disconnected my TV from everything but the Apple TV for streaming occasionally. The laptop goes with me everywhere. The TV is a big brick in a corner that ties you down and makes you stupid.

I've never had cable.. But I have a laptop.. Laptop just gives you more possibilities. So I prefer it

Laptop, cause cable has commercials and is played out. You can always watch regular tv.
