A week ago I happen to go on my schools website. On the "upcoming events" it had "ninth grade orientation 6pm to 8pm" on the 23rd which was today. I was waiting to get a letter or some sort of information in the mail or some sort of phone call. The school has a call feature where it can call your house, its like the principal can record a message and then it goes to all the parents houses.

But never got a letter. I noticed that there was a girl who lives down the street and shes going to be a freshmen. I noticed she was out walking with some friends going to the store. And theres another kid who lives down the street whos gonna be a freshmen at my school and he was outside playing basketball,

My dad calls the school and noone answers. It just tells the office hours and to press a button for "current events" and my dad pushed the botton and it said "no current events scheduled"

Should my dad call the school tommorow and see whats up?

My brothers a senior... I could just get my schedule and have him show me around and stuff. Thats if they had it lol. I have social anxiety and I worry alot.

My dad called at 4 pm. 2 hours before orientation. But wouldnt it seem like they should have someone in the office taking calls for people who arent sure?

Dude dont worry, high school is a joke no matter what anyone tells you so take everything as a life lesson and move on no one will be hurt trust me. I am sure you did not miss anything. Have your dad call of course wont hurt however dont worry about this situtation.

Better to be safe than sorry. Call your school's administration office during regular school hours, tell them what you saw on the internet, and ask if you had missed anything. If so, ask if your brother can get your schedule, show you around, etc. The "no current events" could have meant that none were scheduled for that particular time frame--especially if it was after 8 pm when your Dad called.
