it wasn't harry and the hendersons..sorry.
it came out in the mid 90s sometime....the gorilla was in the wild and the kid went there

There is one called Abe & Bruno.. but the plot is not really described, so hard for me to see if it's correct.. the DVD is going to be released in September, but I think it is an older made for tv movie..
