Are they going to remove the Egyption theme in the Luxor hotel in Las Vegas? Also will they tear down circus circus?
Why are they getting rid of the kid friendly resorts? Is Excalibur next?

The kid friendly themes that they tried to spur in the 80's were not successful. It's one reason why slogans have changed from family oriented sayings to 'What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas." The town has remembered that what makes it successful is that Vegas is an adult getaway. The people who spend money in town are not the ones with kids, they are adults who go there to have fun. Now that being said, I don't think the Luxor or Circus Circus are going to change. They make too much money the way they are to redirect things. But if you look at Treasure Island, they have backed off of their family atmosphere quite a bit. Other hotels have followed this trend by opening more nightclubs, ultra lounges, etc.

I heard something about them doing away with the Egyptian theme. Circus Circus is not going anywhere, highly doubtful that it will. I guess construction of condos are more important that say the Wet'N'Wild which is now a concert plant!!!!! =(

I would think that with the very expensive high rise lofts coming out on the strip, and how clubs and places now are all very upscale, maybe they are trying to change the family type of Vegas back to the adult mostly Las Vegas again
