Peace...I know that's vague, but I really don't know what it's like to live with peace, so it's what I'd choose. Don't we always want the other side of the fence. It's so much greener. I want everything to go right and there to be no problems and if problems come up that anxiety is taken care of. It's so important that life is as problem free as possible, like kids that actually listen sometimes and say thanks. And parents who don't beat their kids when they make mistakes as all kids will do. The good life means peace.

The good life is having a family you can depend on and having everything you need.... not everything you want. Having a few challenges is good too because otherwise what you feel you have accomplished.

You really make a fantastic point here... indeed too good is no good!!

I would simply define good life as one that ensures frequent and abundant happiness punctuated intermittently with bouts of respectable yet manageable challenges.

Enough money to do what I want(within reason) and to take care of who I care about. EDIT-- For some people yes, look at the history of lottery winners. Not all, but for some its too much.
