Men are biologically hard wired to spread their seed in lots of women to continue to populate the Earth. So it's easier to do that if they have more then one wife. Men who are raised in families where they see their mothers and sisters put down by their fathers are more likely to be chauvinist. Men sometimes think they are superior to women because they are physically stronger then women.

The word You were looking for is "SOME", as in, "Why are some men polygamous in nature and chauvinist as well".
Leave the generalizations to the people why are trying to score political points. Deal with the fact that You are refering to a small minority of the Male population.

I believe men are neither polygamous nor chauvinistic in nature, I feel that these traits in some men are often the result of nurture and not nature.
It is taught and in turn can be dissipated via tolerance education.

That's not right or true. Many men here have shown how much they respect their partners/wives and have high moral standards and many are very much gentlemen, not chauvenistic at all.
The question could be asked as well, why are some women polygamous and chauvenistic in nature?
There are some from both genders, but many aren't at all.

Because we are programmed to multiply our species as good as we can. A woman usually has only 1 child at a time after 9 months, so we better get to work :-)). Of course nature could not forsee that our mighty man brain would put mankind at the very top of the foodchain and that man would pull modern medicine out of his @ss and battle natures last failsafedevice the pandemie.
Thats why we need religion and monogamy.

The first one, nature, sometimes. The second one, we're no more chauvinist than women are, generally.

Where did you get that harebrained idea?
Most men want to have just one woman to love. Chauvinism develops by what their environment is.
