My first idea was to answer: love's meaning is reproduction, offspring. But of course you can reproduce without being in love!
What I do feel when I am truly in love is a sense of caring, belonging, focus of my life. It simply makes me a better person!
The perverted feeling of love is jealousy, treating the loved one as a possession. Trying to make the other into your own image.
Love is altruistic and doesn't seek its own!

Well which kind of love?

The kind in which you have great affection and want to be with that person? Or the kind in which you care deeply for them and are close, especially in friendship?

The first might be described as having butterflies or giddiness or just utter satisfaction.

The second would be as listed: deep caring. Other than that, being happy to be around them and enjoy time with them. This can also be in relation to the first.
