Well they said one could be alive but that was before they found the burned bodies buried a few ways back. (yeah I know gross) but they said that after the brutal killing was over one of them yelped and cried but then they beated her up and shot her again. I think the only reason they said there was a survivor is that the girls sewed their diamond and jewlry inside their clothes and a bullet could have caught in them. But the assinators stole thier clothes. But we didn't know that til a couple years back. I know it's so sad.

Keep in mind that they're not certain that the remains buried a few years back weren't hers. They couldn't determine Anastasia from Maria. I think the tales of only survivor was just wishful thinking on some people's parts--sort of like Elvis still alive somewhere. I'm glad they found Alexi and the girl--now maybe the family can be buried together.

Anna Anderson's DNA showed that she was not Anastasia --
