Human mind is truly an enigma..... wishes can indeed be bizarre.
Several possible reasons have already been mentioned in the other answers.... I have another strange one coming to my mind...... is it possible that in fact your ego is looking for greater gratification through proving to yourself that you can handle major adversities or challenges in life much better than others.... your superiority is already proved through the ability to keep adversities away from your life perhaps through proper foresight and planning.... the ego may perhaps be now wanting your superiority to be visibly exhibited because even though prevention is better than cure, it is cure that is spectacular and exciting!!

We tend to manifest what we think about most. So, what will happen? Well, we do not know exactly. But we have a good idea. Whatever you keep focusing on! So, make sure you really want it. If you don't, learn to use your will power to control your thoughts to be things you want.
If you want bad things to happen to yourself, but you don't really want to want these things, and you cannot stop wanting them, then get psychological help. Meanwhile, ask yourself what you would get if these bad things happened to you, that you DO want. This might help you answer the question "why do I want these things?"
If it turns out that there is nothing you would get that you want, then perhaps your self-destructive desires are a habit of thinking, an empty shell of mental behavior that used to serve a purpose but no longer does, and now is just a habit. In that case, you must learn to use your will power to control your thoughts, once again.

No, I've felt the same. Life is too long to be enjoyed. We have the rest of our lives to have a good life, why can't it just suck for a few years to get us scared about whether or not it'll ever get better again? I feel like I need something bad to happen so that I can see how I hold up as person. If bad things never happen you'll never get the chance to test yourself and see how much you can endure. It tests other people too, when bad things happen, you get to see who will really stand by you and who'll just forget you or blow you off. It's times like that when you can really evaluate your life for what it is. I always feel like my life is sh*t, but I know that it's pretty good by most standards. It's like it needs to get worse to justify those feelings of having a sucky life. The bad things in life are what adds character to a person, they're a part of life.

Don't we all? LOL LOL
But seriously, I think you live in a twofold vicious circle reality:
1- Sounds like you must be living a sheltered and otherwise quiet and boring life that begs for a bit of an action-filled face-lift.
2- The above might have also made you into this perpetually insecure and self-protective being who "subconsciously" fools herself into thinking that as long as she merely "hopes" for a bad stuff to happen to her, the balance will be restored and the Good Stuff (i.e. the pampered life) would NOT actually disappear. ... Of course there is always a touch of guilt involved in all of our lives, as well.
In all, a very tough spot to be in. My recommendation is, live life with courage, compassion, authenticity, and acceptance, and handle what might come (or NOT) your way as it actually does. Good Luck!
P.S. And NO there is nothing really wrong with you - that is aside from being an slightly insecure human being at times (like the rest of us). Do I have enough courage to live an authentic and meaningful life? That's the real challenge, for all of us.

Apparently your life must be boring. Yes, all of us humans experience boredom at times. "Bad things" are not what I would want to experience. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. When you enter any building, whether it is your home or a public place, say quietly "Peace Be To This House." - Luke 10:5. The Lord will help you always. Peace, Love and God Bless.

Hi! I have a few ideas out of my own experience. Even though I didn't do these on purpose, these are great ways to get something to go bad.
First, if you have to stand up to a crowd, just relax a lot and loosen up a lot. (Or, you could work yourself to a state of extreme nervousness.) Then, start talking really fast and tell some bad jokes and you have your perfect embarassing moment.
When you drive, don't use your seat belt and do talk on your cell phone a lot until you get a ticket or until you nearly crash or something.
When you go places, randomly insult people until one of them gets real mad at you.
Slap someone you know and say it was an accident. Then, do it again.
I hope this helps!

Sounds to me like you're bored and need some drama to keep you occupied..
Not so much of an attention whore as a drama queen. If you're young, it's *almost* normal.
If you're grown, think about wether you're hoping bad things happen TO YOU PERSONALLY, or you want them to happen to people around you. If it's the latter, check with a doctor, you may be getting early warning signs of Meunchausen Syndrome. (Causing harm to others to attract attention to yourself)

I don't know what you mean by bad. A heart attack, a serious car accident? I love a natural disaster. I live in a hurricane zone and alway wait for one to come my way. I hope nothing bad ever happens to you. Maybe you should find something to spice up your life. I don't know what that would be, but you definately need something to kill the dead space. Good luck to you forever.

You are too comfortable with your current life. What you need is a CHALLENGE. Not something bad to happen. Try doing something you've never done before. A sport perhaps? A hobby.

You are a wanna be drama queen with no drama in your life? Go volunteer your time at a shelter or something so you can see what it is like to have bad things happen to you. Then see if you really want it to happen to you.
