soo i just spent 5 HOURRRS in the POURING rain at us cellular field for a game against the red sox. it was horrible, ONLY to find out at 10:00 that the game is canceled! i understand they didnt want it to get rained out, BUT C'MON A 5 HOUR RAIN DELAY?! that should not happen... ever! the rain delay system should definitly be changed, they shouldn't be able to leave people hanging like that! or maybe they should get retractable domes on parks nowadays... im sure with the 100 dollar tickets they sell, they can afford to put one in. any one else at the "game" tonight? any thoughts on my ideas? i needed to VENT. phew... done :)

I could not agree with you more. I have tickets to tomorrow's night game. I sold them to my friends daughter. It looks like both games will be rained out on Friday. Just ask for a refund on your tickets. I'm a season ticket holder but i'm not sure how you'll have to ask. You'd think that they'd have known what the projected weather was for the reat on the night. The home team manager has the right to "make the call" on play/no play if the lineup cards have not yet been turned over to the umpires.
Coulda been worse. Those same White Sox once held off a game for over eight hours back around 1990/91 (it was a Sunday game, so 1:05 local start).

i do the white sox have some of the worst pitching and hitting the red sox have some of the best of both i wouldn't be surprised if the red sox went to the world series this year and won it against any team cause they're just that good

are you willing to spend $100 milion for each retractable dome?? yes they should of canceled the game after about 2 hours..it has been bad all afternoon and we are about to get again the 4th time today

5 hours is a bit excessive especially when they can make it up the next day with a doubleheader.
