Hi everyone. I'll be working on a costume for a convention, and I wanted to put light blue flames and a dark purple border on the black clothing i will be wearing. I saw the Simply Spray fabric paint and I thought that would be a wonderful idea. However I noticed that it is meant for using on light colored fabrics. Needless to say I was rather peed due to the black clothes i would, at this point hopefully..., be spray painting. Is there a fabric/upholstery spray paint that can be used on dark colored fabrics, particularily black? Thanks in advance.

O and btw, no i don't just wanna sew on extra fabric for the flames and border. I tried that last time (*same costume design), and the costume was rather awkward to wear and heavy for wearing around all day. :-)

Edit: I just recently saw some fabric spray paint used on a pair of jeans (*dark blue), and the colors were much lighter than the jeans themselves. Do you guys think the same will happen if i use it on black clothing?

The sprays really need to go on light fabric, but I have had great luck with light fabric paints on dark fabric. The sparkly ones especially. They come in an applicator or you can use a brush.
