You can only get an approximate answer.
e^2x=3x^2
Solving graphically
x = -0.39065 approximately

I do not think that this can be solved algebraically since it involves exponentials and algebraic terms. I would suggest that it be solved graphically. plot each side as individual functions and find the intersection point.
