Trying to find out how to drive business to my new bath and body website, www.sincityscents.com. It's still a work in progress but it's up and running for right now and I just can't figure out how to start attracting customers. I know the search engines are ok for that but it seems to really cost in order to do it and I wanted to start generating some kind of revenue and then invest more in the search engines. Any idea's out there?

Sell a few things on Ebay to generate interest in your website. Use your Ebay earnings to buy Google adwords. That's how I did it. After a few months I dropped adwords and it just sustains itself now. My item is in a different category though - you may have more trouble because there is too much competition and these are items that people like to buy in person.

Host a small party at your residence or talk to a friend or family member and ask if they would like to have a party. It's sort of like a Mary Kay or Avon thing where you would invite people, let them see and try the product, and then offer it to them to sell. Be sure to offer incentives like THIS FREE with THIS PURCHASE because it'll incline them to buy more. Once you are done with that, give them your card with your website and information on it and give them cards and flyers to send to their friends. This should help get your word out to people in your area and their friends. You can set up a little store on eBay and market from there, and use the earnings to buy ads on other sites. eBay is a wonder worker for most people who run small businesses. Getting your product to people in person is the best way to start because they can actually try it out before they buy it and make sure they like it! Good luck!

*You could send out an e-mail to all of your friends, family, and co-workers....The word will spread
*Try to get your website in the area of when people search bath and body your webiste pops up
*If you can maybe get ads going on the internet attracting youth that way

If I were you I would first get the website all finished up and then getr peoples' attention.
