I think it's Life of Brian. Making it Brian, not Jesus.

Monty Python's Life Of Brian
It's Brian (among many others) on the cross at the end, and he's not singing. Eric Idle's character is leading, but the character did not have a name (listed in the credits as "Lead Singer Crucifee").
