I used to be a mechanic. I know how to do it, but I hate doing it. When you do something all day every day as a living, doing it once more on your own car is such a pain. Besides, I like my hands being clean now that I've gotten out of the trade. But if I have the time and inclination, I'll do it myself.

Why would I pay some retarded repairman 100 dollars to change my oil when I can do it in like 5 minuts to do it myself. I mean really all you do is remove 1 bolt and it will drain and all you have to do after that isput new oil in. Done.

I do my own, I save about ten bucks or so and I take the used oil to the recycle place down the road.

I do it myself and I also do others to if they buy the oil.. For some strange reason I enjoy doing it

i usually dont have the time to do it myself so for the most part i go to jiffy lube

Someone else does it. Neither I nor my husband are very mechanically inclined. He puts his own oil in though.

I do it unless it's 30 below zero outside. I actually have to change it tomorrow.
