I absolutely loved Daisy-Head-Maisy. In fact, when I had to read a book for a speech with voices, I chose that book because it held special memories. My dad and I would read it every night and it was not uncommon for me to fall asleep looking at it and trying to figure out the words.
As a kindergartner, my classmates and I fought over a book from the library called Wacky Wednesday where there were so many things wrong with each scene.
Both books are by Dr. Seuss.
The Madeline books were favorites too.
Other books that became my favorite as I got older were:
Little Women
Little House on the Prarrie
The Royal Diary Books
Narnia
I've always loved to read.

That's tough but I'd have to say the Madeleine books. I related to her because I have red hair and I was always the shortest growing up. Plus she was spunky and I was a bit of a firecracker too. I still remember the beginning of the book.
In a house in Paris, covered in veins, lived 12 little girls in 2 straight lines, the smallest one was Madeleine!
They're very cute books, she has all these adventures and she's an orphan and she lives in Paris! How can you beat that!?

Hmm... when I was like 6 or seven I used to like Harold and the Purple Crayon. After that I used to love the Encyclopedia Brown series. Good stuff.
