For short people like myself it can be pretty dangerous when removing a piping hot container of liquid from that height. Either have a stable box to stand on or get a tall person the handle the microwave. There should be enough space under the microwave to ensure heat is not transfered to the fridge.

No you don't want any thing like that on top of your fridge, Your fridge top gets petty warm and by putting the microwave up there would really heat things up there, and it wouldn't be a good idea! most fridge's are put under the higher short cupboards just for that purpose so people won't put alot of stuff up on top of them! thus wouldn't be able to get into the higher cupboards!

Sure. Just be sure the fridge doesn't use the top as part of its heat exchanger, like my freezer does.
