How can they imagine that a parasitic embryo is a human being? It can not live on its own. It is totally dependent on the womb it is in. If it is allowed to live on, it will grow faster than any cancer. It will take all the nutrients it needs from the mother, no questions asked. At an early stage it is indistinguishable from a pig embryo. It is being used by the legal system as second 'person' in the event of the mother being killed. Of course, that is not all bad. Pro-lifers feel no compunction about condemning the woman to 18 years of responsibility in raising that baby to adulthood. It has to be disconcerting to a woman who does not want a pregnancy to have other people butt into her life and attempt to force her to go through with her 'mistake' or misfortune.

Are you a male? If not, have you ever been pregnant? The difference between a human embryo and a pig embryo is that human embryos become human beings and big embryos become pig beings. It's not a cancer. It's growth may be fast, but it isn't undifferentiated, and parts of it do not break off and plant secondary growths in distant sites. And it isn't parasitic, it's symbiotic. Just look at the glow on a pregnant woman's face! The baby takes physical nutrients and gives spiritual nutrients! Have you ever heard of post abortion stress syndrome? Many mothers really, really grieve the babies they aborted. I think you're just a man, of the same genre of man who invented corsets and stilleto heels.

The pro-life stance has very little to do with saving lives; it's about saving far-right Christian values. By banning abortions and curtailing the distribution of condoms, the Christian right is hindering (and ultimately punishing) those who engage in pre-marital sex.

When you take away a person's ability to protect themselves against STDs and unwanted pregancies, you force them to adhere to an age-old belief: that you should only have sex when you get married.

Pro-lifers are not insane; they are just like every other special interest group out there who focuses on one issue in order to propagate an entire ideology.

So the definition of a human being is a person who can function independently? That means that severely disabled people on repirators and feeding tubes are not human?

Please explain why you are so focused and upset about this issue. What is going on in your life?
