What are your thoughts, do you have a fear of using them, fear of other people's germs or do you not care? Ever walked barefoot in a public restroom?

ewww. i will go if i have to. but i wont touch anything. flush with my foot, and use a paper towel to open the door to get out.

I haven't worn footwear of any kind in over ten years, and sure, sometimes I have to use a restroom. They're not my favorite places to be -barefoot or not- but I am not going to hold it up, that's very uncomfortable and impossible to do when gone from home all day. As long as the skin is whole, we're at far greater risk of picking something up with our hands even in a restroom, the skin is made to keep pathogens out and generally does that very well. Unless you put your feet up on the table or lick your toes there's no great risk in using a restroom barefoot over using one shod.

I used to have a fear of them, but I got over it. I am a germophobe but I don't hate public restrooms a lot. I don't think I've ever walked barefoot in a public restroom but that'd be gross wouldn't it?

NEVER WALKED BAREFOOT! I regret every time I have to use one but I only use them when it is a HUGE emergency. Oh and I don't sit all the way down on the toilet seat, I just squat over it so I don't have to touch it. I wash my hands REALLY good afterwards, and I don't even dry my hands because I'm sure that the handle on the paper towel dispenser has a lot of germs...So I basically open the door with my legs. SO GROSS!

Mostly E. Not because of Herpes and HIV specifically, but there are certain skin diseases you can get. If I am in a nice establishment I don't mind going to the washroom it's D, but I ALWAYS double check. If I really have to go at a sketchy place I will most likely C but if it's extremely yucky I will A. Sometimes I will even C then A. The only exception is when I'm drunk. After one particularly un-fun experience while I hovered, fell and then peed all over my legs I decided that I would wipe the toilet down with toilet paper and D.

I totally fear germs in public restroom! I never sit on the seat i squat (which probably just gives better shots to the pervs and their cameras). I would NEVER walk into one barefoot. I think i would probably explode be4 i could poop in 1.

There are times when I have waited to get home running to avoid public bathrooms. I have seen some of the most disgusting things in them and I would never in one millions years walk barefoot in one. Not even for a lump sum of money.

Yes. People don't flush. Pee on the seat. Those stupid push sinks. Sharp paper towel dispensers. Crying babies. Moms bringing their 7-year-old sons in with them. Water spilt all over the sink counters. Large space between door and wall. Paper stuck to shoes. Horrible odor. Small room in stall. Toilet won't flush. Soap makes skin dry and itchy. Crowded with grumpy people. Germs everywhere. What is there to like about public restrooms? My second biggest fear next to bugs.

EEEEEWWWW!! NO WAY! And when I see these mothers that allow their children to walk barefooted in bathrooms or locker rooms, I want to scream!! My kids are in dance and most of these girls take their dance outfits off in the bathroom stall and drop them on the floor!! Then they allow their younger ones to go to the bathroom by themselves...they do not cover the seat, half of them forget to wash their hands, they touch everything!! Then there are those (young and old) that put their purse on the bathroom floor!! Oh man I need to wash my hands and sanitize them now just by talking about this!! No you will not "die" by doing these things, but you can get something as simple as a cold (flu, etc) or horrible like staph or hepatitis!! Do these people not watch the news????!!!! Disgusting!!

I think I would have a stroke if I walked barefoot in a public restroom. I consider them to be a neccessary evil.
