Hi

I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Our electricity bill is calculated on a fixed transportation fee + consumption. Consumption is calculated on Kwh (Kilowatt Hours), not sure how they calculate this but we signed up for a 5 year contract at 9 cents/Kwh. As it turns out, no matter how much we have turned on at any given time our e-bill is always about the same amount. $80/month CDN or $75 US.

This includes the fees and consumption. The consumption part of the bill is about 2/3 of that bill and 1/3 is the transmission fees and all the other government taxes.

Hope that helps
