OWL
Vision; Silence; Intuition
The Wisdom:
The Owls Wisdom is Vision, Silence and Intuition. The Owl glides through the night silently observing all that occurs. ‘Night Eagle’ as Owl is called has great vision as he is able to discern the precise moment to launch into action and achieve success. Through silence the Owl is able to strike on the most unsuspecting prey. You will notice that should a threat become apparent in the territory of Owl, he will call out to let all who dwell nearby, share in his vision.
The Shadow Side:
You do not stop long enough to hear your messages.
The Message:
If Owl has silently flown into your life today, remember that great wisdom comes from silence, ‘Spirit’ echoes through the silence to send us his messages. It is important to allow the space for the silence, so you can hear ‘Spirits’ words. Great visions abound today for you. Follow those visions and be guided. You will feel the energy shifts within today.
You need to cultivate your psychic powers and follow your intuition.
Affirmation:
Silence brings my messages
White means Purity and Truth
Love & Blessings

I saw a movie earlier this year called , Close Encounters of the 4th Kind over at someone's house in LA. They had the sound system hooked up to a 2000 watt system and they had it cranked way up! Anyway, in the movie was this white owl that people reported seeing (I think it was not really an owl, but it was never resolved fully to my satisfaction, it seemed like an alien, or ET) Why was it white? Do you live around snow? If not, pretty strange. I don't think they migrate. With a color like that they'd stay where they'd always blend in. I had a Ted Andrews book, "Animal Speak-The spiritual and magical powers of creatures great and small". The section on owls said that they were portents, mysterious, like cats (with wings). Check out the three links below. The third link to to the section of the book I mentioned directly to the owl section of the book. P.S.-The answer that 'rorororo' gave seems to be pretty much what the feeling I was getting when I saw that movie. Perhaps you should do something to protect yourself and your property. The Book of Psalms 91 is always good. Also ask for the protection of Yahweh Roeh (Yahweh the Shepherd). May the good Lord watch over you!

In Romania, it is said that the souls of repentant sinners fly to heaven as Snowy Owls.
In British folklore, a screeching Barn Owl is believed to predict that a storm or cold weather was imminent. During a storm, if a Barn Owl was heard, it indicated that the storm was nearly over.
I wouldn't put too much stock in folklore. They are only beautiful birds. But see the following anyway:

Here: in Mexico shaman, or medicine man, or whatever you wanna call it, can transform into a White Owl in hopes to find a cure for a curse or a spell.
Note: A true shaman will never say he is a shaman
The spanish word for shaman is 'curandero'
They mostly inhabit the wood and mountain regions, specially in Catemanco, Veracruz.
A shaman will never charge you for his services. Harm none, do as you wish...

the owl in very old christainity was a sign of evil becouse of its soundless flight, its night time activities and its afiliation with druids and in darkage england it was possible to be labeled a witch for owning one.
however on the pagan side of things birds were of not a sign of evil but of wisdom power and status owls are not bad luck
