I dont want to hear any answers like, "Oh he's a retatrd", or, "Oh, he's the Devil". I want serious educated answers. I understand you may not like him because your morals aren't the same as his. But why do you hate him? I cannot understand what is so wrong with him. He is fighting a war that has liberated MILLIONS of people from oppressive dictators. The economy is in the best shape it has ever been in, and he has guided us thourgh some of the toughest times the US has faced since the Civil War. What is wrong with him? Every time I ask, nobody can seem to give me a straight answer.

Well, I certainly do not hate the President. If anything I feel guilty of feeling sorry for him. The whole idea or platform the "Bush Bashers" stand on is that all these really bad things happened under his watch and have yet to be resolved. The U.S. is still at war, floods, fires and other natural disasters seem to be increasing, the infrastructure isn't being maintained properly and there's a whole host of end time scenarios just looming over the horizon. The Bush administration is supposed to be leading and instead appears overwhelmed. Most people seem happier to look forward to the elections of 2008 and looking beyond the Bush presidency. Hopefully, there will still be a world in existence for a new president, the way the world is going. So, even if you're not a "Bush Basher" it is difficult, to say the least, to not start seriously worrying about the world we live in and wonder where the government is in all this.

Although I don't think he has been a good president, I don't hate him. I think he is probably a very good husband and father. The biggest issue I have with him is going to war on bad intelligence and delegating too much of his power to Cheney and Rove (nobody voted for Rove - and he has urged the President to make plenty of decisions that have hurt Pres. Bush's reputation). Bush trusted Rove and was betrayed - many people trusted Bush and now feel betrayed by some of promises that haven't been kept.

All the good you point to is your point of view - the economy is going sour - the money is getting sucked up in the war machine - housing foreclosures are at their highest rates ever, as are gas prices, milk prices, and home values are dropping for the first time since the depression of the 1930s. New Orleans still looks like a war zone (it's not) - there's no more money for the home front.

I agree - what IS wrong with him? Why does he keep listening to people that give him advice that causes him and the American people such misery?

Add to that the fact that this war has become a quagmire (Vietnam terminology) and, now, if we just up and pull out many civilians that support us are going to die - as are the minority Muslims and Christians. Now you have the perfect recipe for some people "hating" this president.

You asked for an honest answer - this is a straight answer.

I do not hate him. I hate what he has done. He has violated the constitution, engaged in a wreckless war that has not liberated anyone (people in Iraq are not any freer than they were under Saddam), and used deceit and fear mongering to poison our politics. Many of the assumption of your question are false.

The economy being in decent shape is irrelevant. That is an economic cycle that president's have little short term influence over. His management of the budget has been atrocious. Why are we engaging in massive deficit spending if the economy is so good?

We are not facing the toughest times since the civil war. That is laughable. The Great Depression, World War II, the Vietnam War were all much deeper and more troubling problems. 9/11 was a tragedy but a handful of zealots knocking over a couple of skyscrapers is nothing compared to some of the tribulations faced by our nation.

If you still believe that the people in Iraq have been liberated then you are beyond hope.

Toughest times since the Civil War? Please... Do you know anything about the 20th century at all?
He's fighting a war against international outrcry, spreading American hate and disugust, and has lied numerous times (not to say every other president hasn't, Bush just wasn't as good at hiding it).
The economy is hardly in the best shape it's ever been in. The rich getting richer and the poor staying poor isn't really what I'd call a good economy. Not to mention unemployment (in certain parts of the country) and the American dollar being worth a mere 4 cents compared to what it was before the Federal Reserve was put into place.
He's just... It's just a whole bunch of screw ups with no redeeming qualities.
I don't hate him. I just think he's a very very bad president. Those who hate him are caught up in party propaganda or are just really overdramatic.

If the economy is in the best shape it has ever been in howcome since bush got into office the value of the American dollar has gone down? And I guess by killing thousands that kindof like liberating them. What is wrong with him is that he clearly has little regard for his own US citizens, instead he would rather be attempting to get oil/power from the middle east. Lets pretend he is fighting 'terror' here for a minute, well then why is he trying to go into Iran, what did we do? Oh we may be making nuclear weapons of mass destruction but the US seems to have a few of those themselves so does Russia, but since they are your alley it is okay? The Us obviously doesnt want anyoen to advance power wise but them, theyre greedy, selfish, and power hungry. blowing up citizens of Iraq is in no way fighting 'terror' they hung Sadaam so what the hell, how do you still beleive theyre liberating if they killed the 'dictator' but theyre still blowing up Iraq, you truly need to open your mind.

Yes goober answered the question correctly, I hate bush because he supports jesus and he fights war for No reason. Im a good old boy (hunting, fishing, drinking, fourbyin farming) and hate bush for his mentallity that is 200 years behind in progressive thinking. Anyone who votes someone in for there religious views, skin color or sex is someone who is not progressive. And jesus doesnt exist in politics so get over it. I would vote in a muslim leader if he had the right mentallity. Iraq cost 4000 plus americans and coalition and more then 1 trillion dollars. If your not stupid you will see that nothing has been accomplished and 1 trillion dollars could have been spent here. And to all the Jesus people out there who support BUSH, are you stupid, you just voted in a president who spent a trillion dollars of your money to apparantly save who MUSLIMS, wouldnt you have been better off dropping a trillion on CHRISTIANS in your own country or has your church burnt you into thinking that republicans are right no matter what. OPEN your eyes people its a new world, but every priest and alli babba on every corner is holding the whole world back, GET OVER YOUR STUPIDITY YALL!

I don't hate Bush, but I do disagree with his policies, especially with the lies he told to drag the US into an UNNECESSARY war, and the terrible, tragic effects it has had on millions of people. Its all being waged for oil, power, and control, and its really sad to me that some hold outs still can't see that.Just today,Republican John Warner, one of Bush's staunchest supporters, implored him to bring our troops home. In the end of course it won't be who's right or who's wrong, but who's left.Just like you, I'm entitled to my opinion, and I do know that our grand kids and their descendants will end up trying to clean up the mess Bush leaves behind. Of course as he once said, ( and you can look up this quote) "I don't care what history says about me. I won't be here to read it." PS Bush and Jesus? Give me a break. And Lee, you go--ditto a lot of you!

I don't think many people understand how things work in politics, and many people who do understand won't go into politics, as they know that in order to get elected you have got to kiss a lot of butt, and sell your soul to Aipac and Israel, show me one politician who don't kiss their butt . or even disagree with any thing they do,as that would be political suicide, ask John Connely, Nixon, and several more politicians who thought they could make a stand against them even the great J,F,K, when Israel wants something our politicians jump to oblige them, they wanted Iraq knocked out as they were a thorn in Israels side, did you notice how quick our congress, senate, and president found cause to invade them?surely you people are not this dumb, are you? so many people want to blame te president , why?? congress and senate did their bit to get this invasion started didn't they? Bush is no worse than any other president, and if we want a change then we must dehorn Israel and Aipac, plain and simple,
