I am 23 and deciding to attend a technical college..i live in a small town...the paralegal fields interest me but what is interesting may not always be the best thing..any opinions?

by the way i am doing this to have something to fall back on...i like my job now and it has nothing to do with those two fields i mentioned....

Definitely the paralegal degree because then you could get employment quicker after you graduate.

I have heard that to obtain employment as a paralegal, one needs to have a bachelor's degree in something such as business or the field itself. I'm not sure that the job prospects are great in all locations so one area of the nation may be more saturated with paralegals than another. How about calling around to some area law offices and asking them about the job market for paralegals before spending all of that money :) Wishing you the best of luck!

I would go paralegal because it's in demand. There isn't a specific job for marketing management. Though if you're more interested in marketing . . . not sure how much you can do with just an associates in marketing. But I know you can be a paralegal with the paralegal training.

Job prospects for paralegals are excellent, especially if you ever plan on getting out of your small town. You should go for that, marketing is so competitive.

I would think Paralegal studies. You can always change to something else later on. Good luck to you.

Whatever you decide, you'll have to go beyond an Associates.

Paralegal is a skill.........mngt is not.............people pay for skills
