It was very awkward actually but the only reason was because I made it that way. I worried so much about it and put too much thought into it. The best advice I can give you is to clear your mind and be in the moment or you'll lose out.
My first kiss was when I was 15. I was also at my very first big party. There was a guy there that I liked and who I also knew liked me so we flirted a little throughout the night. Just after I had put some gum in my mouth, he asked if I wanted to go for a walk and I said "yes"...so we strolled along the street and finally he stopped me and said "I really want to kiss you right now, is that okay?" Well, I didn't know what to do with my gum and I didn't have time to swallow it because I didn't want him to think I was hesitating, so when I opened my mouth to answer, I just let my gum fall out to get rid of it....it landed on his shoe!! OOPS...Fortunately, he didn't seem to care, and he leaned in to kiss me...the kiss wasn't that great but that didn't matter anymore. No matter how it goes, you never forget your first kiss (that was ten years ago for me) so make it memorable!!
Every first kiss is what you make of it. Just don't stress over it...be relaxed, because then you'll come across as confident even if you aren't!!

OMG I LOVED IT. I felt like I was floating and I felt really weak at the knees...like I was going to fall over and I swear I didn't breathe for about half an hour. I had crazy butterflies in my stomach and oh my gosh it was just amazing. I felt cleansed in a way. It was nice. So make your first really special. My first kiss is defiantly a highlight of my life. I couldn't stop thinking about it for days. Make sure it is somebody special.
Not only that, but it was HIS first kiss too :) I was 14

Sloppy, disgusting, and I knew it was coming which made it really horrible. The guy ended up being a total jerk too. However, on the plus side - I haven't had one that bad since. It set the bar pretty low so it was harder to get dissapointed with a kiss later. Hahaha. :)

we were walking at night, next to the water. I stopped her, and I told her. I have to kiss you. She stuck her tongue right in my mouth. It was sloppy, and I was to nervous to really enjoy it. It was very romantic though.
when you do kiss someone, relax and try to enjoy it, it's not that big of a deal

It was very exciting for me...she had braces and I was so into it...it was great...we really kissed pretty deeply for a first kiss...i was hooked after that...think I was 12 or 13ish.

it was really sweet. He asked me if it was ok if he kissed me before he actually did it. and yeah, I was pretty nervous and my stomach was doing flips but afterwards I was giddy and giggly and floating....you get over that but its fun while it lasts. And I'm guessing he'd been practicing before me because it wasn't slobbery or messy at all. Very nice.
