The sulfer content of the onions produces flatulence (gas).

Onions and related veggies in the allium family have sulfur containing compounds that can produce gas. These gases are usually in the form of hydrogen or methane. Do not be alarmed as this gas production is normal and a by product of some of these beneficial detoxifying compounds.

I think it's the steaming of the onions. They don't give me a problem, but every man I know has issues with sliders!!!

Yeah, I have to agree it has to be those onions. That and that unknown meat that you know you shouldn't be eating but you just can't help yourself. It's what you crave.
