Yahoo doesn't have a team of reporters and newsrooms all over the place. They merely post stories from services like AP, Agencie Press Francais, Reuters and the like. The trick is in deciding what stories to post. Same as the dilemma faced each day by a newspaper and TV news.
Don't rely on any one news source. Balance Yahoo with others like the BBC, Voice of America, etc. to get a better feel on international news.
