What is up with that? They park right there in the fire zone, even if legitimate parking spaces are only 20 yards away. They act like, "hey, I'm only gonna be in for a few minutes", as if everyone else will be there overnight. I don't know about you but I despise the ignorant, lazy, inconsiderate bastards. Oh, and you better believe that if someone or something hits their illegally parked vehicle, they will scream bloody murder. I just hate it!!!!!!! Your thoughts?

Well I am with you there. I had neck surgery and I was even wearing a neck brace. I was waiting on a parking space at the grocery store last week and this middle age guy was in one lane over from me just oppostive of the parking spot I was waiting for. He pulled in the spot one lane from me and moved in right into my spot I was waiting for from the lane on the other side. I told him to back up because I was waiting on that spot and I had surgery and had to park as close as possible. He told me that he wanted that spot so he could just pull out instead of having to back out. Mind you he was one lane over from me and had a great parking spot, but he had to pull up so he could just pull out. No pity for me who had also waited patiently for the spot, but also a woman who was obvious handicapped but... parked in a appropriate spot to walk a reasonable distance.

I wanted to kick his as% with brace and all.... but I probably could not lift my foot up that high since I was partially disabled.

I park in front of the store because I have a disabled bage because I can't walk far because of my health problems. Oh and I'm not fat. In fact I'm too skinny but yeah if people don't have the right to park there then they shouldn't. If I saw a pregant woman or a woman with a child all by her self and there were no children and mother spaces left. Hey even I would tell her to take my space if I knew the cops weren't around. So yeah thats why I park in front of the store. As for the normal and healthy folks they just need to be caught to walk. I mean I don't even park in front of the store haft the time. Do I come off as a tosser. Hope not OH WELL

As a spokesperson for the Ignorant, Lazy, Inconsiderate Bastards of America, I would like to say your claims are very offensive and I would appreciate it considerably if you would not be so judgemental. We park so close because we can't walk from the parking lot into the store, besides, we are going to be doing sooo much walking in the store, there's no point in exhausting ourselves. Before you throw stones, you should look in the mirror sir. I personally enjoy the fact that I am so large I am allowed to ride around on the "Handi-capped" carts that some stores provide. Don't be jealous because our large size gets us benefits that you "normal" folk can't enjoy. It is people like you, putting us down that causes us to eat so much and have these eating/depression disorders.

Wish I knew why.Every time I go to the Wal-mart there is always someone parked in the cross walk waiting for someone to "just run in for one thing".
Then the one that has to put 2 wheels on the sidewalk to park and run in the store.
These people are the same ones that fuss because the first 5 spaces are reserved for the handi-ap parking and if nobody is parked there they think they can.

I'm lazy and I never parked in the fire zone. I've never actually seen anybody parking there either. The only time I see people in the fire zone, is to drop old folks off and then park someplace. So to be quite honest with you, I wouldn't know how I would feel if there were somebody parked in the fire zone.

Yup i agree - people who do this are just plain lazy - it doesnt take any longer to park in a proper parking spot, but these kind of people think the world revolves around them. I say 'Stop being so damn lazy and find a car park even if it does take 30 seconds more of your time'

They are afraid to lose some weight from the extra steps.
It just drives me nuts. There can be an open spot 20 feet from them but they have to park as close as possible to an ATM.
I don't think they know how to use the drive through ones.
Once a guy was parked so close to the door of a store you could hardly get in. I pulled up right in front of him so he would have to back out down a curve. Was he hot.
It kind of made my day. I just got out of my car and opened the door for some lady. She thought it was kind of strange until I told her what I did.
She said he deserved it because he was to scared to lose some fat off of his ***. True story.

I too completely despise the liberally self entitled, arrogant ignoramuses of the world. Like the idiots who double park next to a perfectly acceptable parking spot on a one-way street. These people need their own planet to live on so that they don't interfere with the lives of others with common courtesy and sense. That way the only one they can annoy is another idiot just like themselves!

You should first be sure that they are NOT there to pick up something large and awkward, or a disabled person. (That happens a lot at stores and malls with BIG parking lots.)

ALSO, be sure they are not a commercial vehicle making a pick-up or delivery. (In many cases small companies may use what appear to be private vehicles, but are registered as commercial.)
Example: Photo processing pick-ups and deliveries.

If you are sure they don't fit above catagories, report it to the store management. (It is usually up to the store to control the parking 'situation'.)

I'm right there with you on this one. My oldest sister is like that. She will park ANYWHERE - handicapped spaces, other people's parking spaces, across driveways, double park, next to fire hydrants - I mean ANYWHERE. And, she doesn't think I thing about it. I hate this habit of hers so bad, I refuse to go anywhere with her where she is the driver.

Just once, I'd love to have the fire department need to use a hydrant she is parked next to. They wouldn't hesitate to break out her driver and passenger windows to put the fire hose through. Maybe that would cure her. Knowing her though, she'd try to sue the city for damages. It wouldn't work of course, but, she'd try it.

I'm with you - why can't we all just park where we're supposed to park????
