I am a freshmen at California State University Fullerton and am a computer science major. In school they tell us the job market is great and company's are constantly looking for people to fill there tech positions. I have heard elsewhere though that the job market is flooded with people with computer science degrees and is very hard to find a good job. Could someone with some related experience give me some insight as to what it is like finding a job with a computer science degree?

It's decent, but not as good as it was five or ten years ago. Be sure to do an internship - that can mean a lot. And specialize in some area that is in heavy demand - security, networks, and web design/development for example. Keep an eye on the job market while you're in school as to what areas are in high demand, and make sure you have credentials in those areas.

And grades will be important when you are looking for your first job out of school, so work hard and keep them up.

Good luck.
