Can anyone clue me in on what makes my truck different from the 2500? I have the same motor, same tranny, same brakes, 8 lug wheels, tranny temp gauge, etc.

Forgot to mention my truck is a crew cab. But there are only crew cab 1500HDs and no non 1500HD trucks at all (until 2004).

My truck does have the 6.0 engine, the trans temp gauge, the tow/haul switch on the stalk.

GM did not offer a 1500HD with the 5.3, only the 6.0 (the 5.7 ended in 1998).

2500 use a full floating rear end, and maybe stiffer suspension

I have a 2500 HD, to my knowledge it has a more bulbous nose, heavier suspension, heavy duty transmission and tow package (trans temp gauge and a tow switch on shifter) Zero to sixty in 8.4 seconds, I think. Because of a 6.0 vortec engine; whereas MOST 1500's have the 5.7 liter. I may be off a little on this. Oh, and my 2500 will tow up to 9600 lbs whereas the 1500 is 1/2 ton and able to tow like 6800 lbs or so.

do no longer try this. the 1st site visitors fee ticket i won became into for "unsuitable start up from a status place" there got here approximately to be a cop that became into interior of sight and that i became into on some gravel, wheels squealed a splash. in case you're able to be able to desire to renowned then placed it into 2wheel stress mode, push the brakes down each and each of ways, start up giving it gas and the rear wheels ought to smash loose. As for revving it in impartial and throwing it into equipment... properly it extremely is the perfect/quickest thank you to kill your transmission. The Silverado ought to have the skill to do the 'burnout' and not making use of a topic, they have a lot of low-end torque to get the wheels loose. attempt doing it on moist pavement and not around any site visitors or law enforcement officers.
